Obituary
Teresa (Warden) Osia, 87, of DeSoto entered into rest Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Crystal City, Missouri. She had been a homemaker and a teacher at Cruise School. Born November 1, 1923, in Old Mines, Missouri, to the late John and Myrtle (Bequette) Warden.

She is survived by her loving family which includes sons: Lindell (Pam) Osia of DeSoto and Randy Osia of DeSoto; daughters: Mary Lou (Fred) Carr of DeSoto, Betty Bourisaw of DeSoto, Kathy Kneip of DeSoto, Sharon Hillman of DeSoto and Brenda Benton of St Louis; daughter-in-law, Linda Allen of DeSoto; brother, Clyde (Jessie) Warden of DeSoto; brother-in-law, Bill Coan of O'Fallon, MO; sister, Verlaine Altmix of Arnold, MO; sister-in-law, Juanita Warden of DeSoto; 14 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Osia, a son, Jerry Osia; brothers, James Warden, John Warden, Jr and Ronald Warden; sisters: Mary Eads, Ruth Ann Coan and Patricia McCurdy; sister-in-law, Rachel Warden; and grandson, Jack Morrison.

Teresa enjoyed quilting with the women of St. Rose and going to bingo. She visited the local nursing homes for many years, with other St. Rose parishioners, helping the patients from their rooms to go to Mass and she also loved cleaning "her" St Rose of Lima Church.

Deacon Ed Boyer will conduct a Prayer Service at 7:00 pm during the visitation and Father Alexander Anderson will officiate the Mass at St. Rose on Monday.
