Robert "Bob" Cannon passed away peacefully on August 18, 2011 at The Villa's in DeSoto. He was born on April 11, 1916, in Gilham, Missouri, to the late Robert L. Cannon and Ida (Gilham) Cannon.
He lived in Shawnee Mission, Kansas during his late 20's where he sold appliances for over 40 years. He moved to Bella Vista, Arkansas in 2004 then moved to The Villa's in September 2010 and lived until his passing.
His love for dogs, birds and fishing was extensive. Bob held a Kansas City Chiefs season ticket for over 40 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
Mr. Cannon is survived by a step-daughter, Barbara Higgins-Gemeinhardt and step-son Billy Higgins; a niece, Sharon Rankin Stotler; and nephews: Bob Rankin, George Rankin, Jim Cannon and John Cannon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Mary (Hamilton) Cannon, his second wife, Barbara (Higgins) Cannon; a brother, Beverly Cannon and a sister, Alberta Cannon Rankin.
