Richard E. "Rich" Kavanaugh, age 62, entered into rest Friday, November 11, 2011 at his Crystal City residence. He was employed as an auto parts manager and purchaser for Sage Parts Plus and he was also a paramedic. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and his dogs, Max and Sabell. Born August 3, 1949, in St Louis, Missouri, to Eva (Cape) Cullen of St Louis and the late Eugene J. Kavanaugh.

He is survived by his loving family which includes his wife, Terri (Allen) Kavanaugh; mother, Eva Cullen ; sons: James (Shane) Kavanaugh of Weldon Springs, MO, Sean (Shannon) Kavanaugh of Imperial, MO, Michael "Ryan" (Casey) Kavanaugh of O'Fallon, MO and Oliver Schaudt of Savannah, GA; daughters: Terri (Tim) Combs of Osage Beach, MO, Sherri (Richard) Chapman of Columbia,MO and Kristen (Luke) South of Savannah, GA; brother, Sean Cullen of St Louis, MO; sisters: Elizabeth Cullen of St Louis, MO, Mary (Nicole) Cullen-Will of St Louis, MO and Patricia (Marc) Katz of West Windsor, N.J.; mother and father-in-laws: Rev. Robert Allen and Rev. Karen Curry-Allen of West End, N.C. and Elizabeth and Andy Maynard of Ocala, FL; dear grandfather, great grandfather, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend. He is preceded in death by his father, Eugene J. Kavanaugh; brother, Robert Cullen; and stepfather, Phillip J. Cullen.

Reverend Robert Allen and Reverend Karen Allen will officiate service.
